I took an early morning walk on Siesta Key the other day and enjoyed the rare treat of having this stretch of perfect white sand almost to myself. I decided to take advantage, and got out my camera. In the early morning light the beach, freshly groomed and free of foot prints, looked like miles of fluffy powdered sugar. There were a handful of people doing yoga, flying kites, and running along the water, but for the most part all you could hear was the lull of our small Gulf waves.
Some of my favorite shots were those that I took of the brightly colored life guard stations. Standing tall and empty, each one looked ready for the long, sunny day ahead and poised for the task of watching over the Siesta beach goers.
