On a recent trip to New York I had the good fortune of staying an AirBNB property one block off of the High Line. Not really putting that much importance on my proximity to the High Line when booking the studio, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it each day of my stay.
I hate to be cliche, but the High Line can only be described as an urban oasis. Built on a section of the unused West Side Line, the space is so smartly engineered that you feel equally connect to the bustling city and the blooming wildlife. The path ebbs and flows organically. In some places it is as narrow as a hallway, in others it widens creating park-like green spaces. Benches, nooks and viewing platforms are all tucked in unexpectedly, creating intimate moments where visitors eat their take-out lunch from the nearby Chelsea market. The elevated walk way spans only 1.45 miles but I think I took a photo for each foot of it. Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!
