It's my humble opinion that every new life journey should start with a road trip. Recently I took to the open road and happily put close to 2,000 miles on my Mini Cooper.
Thanks to some birthday iTunes gift cards I was able to load up with some old friends like Otis Redding and Bare Naked Ladies plus add in new loves like Vacationer and Lorde. Hours on end of sunshine, taking in the views, and singing at the top of your lungs is truly good for the soul.
Also good for the soul...making a stop in Mobile, AL for some rainy summer night cocktails with my Big Sis
One of my favorite things about road trips is when you find your self slowing down to pass through a one stop light town. Somewhere around Nowhere,Oklahoma I saw this sign and had to loop back around to get a good shot of it. Nothing makes you stop and consider an alternate future for yourself like seeing your name on a billboard!
Who knows what is next for me. For all I know it is quarter mile down on the left. Whatever is waiting for me I know that this road trip got me to where I needed to go. Love to all that helped me along the way.
“Now, on this road trip, my mind seemed to uncrinkle, to breathe, to present to itself a cure for a disease it had not, until now, known it had.” ~
